Painting Maintenance: How to Love Your Painting

Care instructions so your painting can last for decades!

Here’s what to do once you choose your wall art:

Positioning the Artwork

  • Avoid direct sunlight exposure
  • Keep the painting away from heat sources (radiators, air conditioners)
  • Mount the painting on a wall that isn’t exposed to moisture
  • Optimal room temperature is 18-22°C (64-72°F)
  • Avoid placement in kitchens or bathrooms due to steam and humidity

Cleaning

  • Use only a dry, soft microfiber cloth
  • Wipe gently, without applying pressure
  • NEVER use water or chemical cleaning agents
  • Don’t spray glass cleaner directly onto the frame’s glass

Handling

  • Always hold the painting with both hands
  • Wear clean, dry gloves when moving
  • Don’t touch the painting’s surface with your fingers
  • When transporting, always protect the frame corners

Important Notes

  • Check the frame periodically for possible loosening
  • Maintain secure wall mounting
